Suspension
At Tyrerack Namibia, we do lowering springs and coil overs for vehicles. We strive to provide you with the best solution for your vehicle and your pocket by giving you expert advice so that you will be able to make an informed choice of which option to go for.
Lowering Springs
Lowering springs are designed to lower your car by using slightly smaller springs with marginally higher spring rates to compensate for the lower ride height. By using smaller springs, the entire vehicle sits lower to the ground.
All springs aren't equal and the saying "you get what you paid for" applies. Lowering springs are great if you're on a tight budget and want your car to sit lower without regard to changes in damping. If you plan on racing in autocross events or track days, however lowering springs may not be the best choice.
Coilovers
Coilovers are full suspensions comprising of a coil spring over an adjustable shock absorber to reduce the ride height of your vehicle for a lower center of gravity which means that your vehicle will have reduced weight transfer in a corner.
Coilovers is important for better weight distribution that isn't only important in corners but also for accelerating and breaking. When coilovers are used this means you'll have stiffer springs which will reduce body roll and you will be able to take corners faster.
